Becoming a doula was a path that chose me after the birth of my daughter, Alice.
I had an amazing doula at my birth, but little help once we got home. I wish to help those who go through labor and bring home baby. To make sure you don't feel alone and help you find the answers to what will work best for you and your family. I, like many a new mama, will get so many different avenues of advise. Some of it will work great for you and some of it you will cringe when you hear. I look forward to being a resource that is there for you and your family. I'm not there to make any in-law happy or your neighbor. I'm there for you and to help you into this wonderful journey you have embarked on. With Alice's arrival into my life, there was so much change created in me and effected so many things in my life. I quit my job in the insurance industry and stayed home with her for the first 6 months. During that time I learned and fell in love with cloth diapers (we did use disposables on occasion), Elimination Communication (having your child potty on the toilet through cues), baby wearing, breastfeeding and so much more! I became a nanny instead of returning to the insurance industry. And now I am excited to begin my journey as a Doula and help families with their new little additions!! And soon I will be a certified Elimination Communication Mentor and am excited to bring an alternative to diapering in the community! Cheers! Comments are closed.
